K-8 Administration and Support Staff
Mrs. Noemi "Amy" Lepley: K-5 Principal
Hi, I'm Amy Lepley, and I am the K8 Principal at MGLVA. I believe that each child who enters our school deserves to be treated with respect and should be met each day with positivity, warmth, and consistency. I owe this, not only to the child, but their parents, the school, and the community. In our ever changing world, I believe students need this positive, relationship based approach to fulfill their goals. We are going to have a great year, trust me:)
Our family made a decision to fulfill our dream and make Michigan our permanent home. My husband, Mike, grew up in Michigan and has had a cabin in the Croton area for 18 years. Being a native of Louisiana, nature has always been important to me, and the activities I love all involve the outdoors. Michigan reminds me of Louisiana, only without the alligators and monster mosquitos (except for this year)! We always knew that this would be our home, and our decision has proven to be the right one. I am often caught gazing at a Bald Eagle from my office window (my cabin window). |
Mr. Anthony Kinkle: 6-8 Principal
Hi, I’m Anthony Kinkle and I am the Middle School Principal at MGLVA. . I have worked in the MGLVA middle school as an 8th grade teacher but am now honored to be the Principal. I believe that the Middle School is a transition phase between the elementary school and high school. MGLVA's Middle School is here to help students grow and become independent lifelong learners. The Middle School staff is passionate about the subjects and students they teach.
During my free time I enjoy to spend my time with family and friends outdoors. We enjoy playing disc golf, hunting, fishing, camping, kayaking, and all other outdoor activities. Anytime I can reconnect with nature and disconnect from society, I feel re-energized. I look forward to serving my MGLVA Middle School families! |

Ms. Jennifer McGrail: 7th GradeHello! In 2000 I graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology from U of M. I worked in that field for a few years and began substitute teaching. I love school and all the opportunities education gives young people. I felt I could have a more lasting effect on children in the education profession rather than the corrections system. I completed my teaching degree in 2009, and earned my Master’s from Ferris State in Curriculum and Instruction in 2011.
I currently live in Swartz Creek, but have lived in Flint, Flushing and Cheboygan. I love to travel with my children and grandson: Hannah, 23; Avery, 20; Meghan, 19 and Kaden 4. My hope is to instill in all my students a true love for education and knowledge. |

Mrs. Megan Weber: 8th Grade ELA
My name is Mrs. Weber and I am extremely excited to have joined the MGLVA team this year. Here's a little background on me: I graduated from Central Michigan (Fire Up Chips) with my B.A. in Elementary Ed with 3 minors - ELA being one of them. I then got my Masters in Educational Technology from Michigan State. All of those classes were online which blossomed my love for virtual teaching.
Teaching ELA virtually is actually a dream come true! It is a combination of my two passions, Language Arts and Technology. I did my student teaching in 7th grade ELA and then taught a year of 8th grade ELA. I took some time off to have a family, which now consists of 4 kiddos, 2 boys and 2 girls, ranging from 8 to 2. We live in the Lansing area, so when I'm not teaching I am spending my free time with them. One of my other minors is Earth Science, so I love spending time outdoors! This could be exploring nature, fishing, or riding quads and snowmobiles. |
Mrs. Denise Lijewski: 8th Grade ELA
My name is Denise Lijewski (pronounced “Lee-s-ski”) and I will be one of your eighth grade teachers this year at MGLVA. I graduated from Grand Valley State University with my teaching degree, and currently I am working on completing my master’s degree at Michigan State University. Go Spartans!

The most enjoyment we have as a family is visiting our cabin up north and relaxing. I’m looking forward to a great year and making a difference! |
Ms. Margaret PerryHi! I live in beautiful Port Austin at the tip of Michigan’s thumb. It is the only place in Michigan where you can stand in one spot and see the sun rise and set. I have a son who is 25 and lives in Bay City, Michigan, and I live next door to my mother who is 81 years old.
